What a truly special place! Somewhere that will be in my heart forever! My wife and I knew the moment we saw this place it was the place for our wedding. The cottages are stunning, the setting is perfect and everyone there are incredible. And the privacy you feel when you are there as the hosts let you enjoy their/your space is something I've never felt anywhere else. Everyone worked tirelessly to make sure we had the perfect day and place to celebrate our wonderful day. The lake is beautiful, the animals and the abundance of play areas and activities for the children is second to none. From the honesty shop to the beautiful courtyard allowing everybody to just be together is something I will never forget.

Absolutely beautiful venue and cottages for a family wedding! Jason and Danielle are brilliant hosts/owners and they were so welcoming and helpful. Family friendly and just perfect for a relaxing, stress free stay! Will definitely come back to continue the challenge of catching a fish and getting playing with the goats😂 Highly recommend!

Lovely 4 night get away in the countryside with fantastic views and plenty of space and activities for singles, couples and families with young children to enjoy. Bridport, West Bay and Abbotsbury just a short drive away if you feel the need to explore further.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Gardeners Cottage at Rudge Farm at the end of July.
The owners, Jason and Danielle and the staff, are extremely friendly and welcoming and will sort out any concerns you may have without any issues. They work tirelessly to keep
the farm up the exceptional standard that you see.
The setting is idyllic and so peaceful too. There is plenty there to keep everyone entertained from the lovely play area, the lakes including a boating lake and the beautiful nature walks. If you want even more fun there are the tennis court, the games
room, a pool room and not forgetting the gorgeous goats and ducklings too.
The cottage is well equipped and beautifully dressed, and we loved every minute of our stay there. It was extremely hard to leave at the end of the week.
I would highly recommend Rudge Farm to all ages, and we will definitely be going back!
Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We had a delightful time staying at Rudge Farm cottages, rambling through the immaculate and beautiful grounds daily. We so enjoyed sitting by the lake and took many picturesque photos in the grounds. The cottage was clean and tidy and authentically furnished with so many beautiful artifacts. Our host and hostess could not have been more helpful and provided all we needed in their little shop, the games room, playground , billiard room and library. The pubs around provided excellent meals and local the sights and nearby town were close. We visited many local places of interest and enjoyed ambling around Dorchester, a quaint town full of such interesting shops.
Thankyou to Danielle, Jason and family for such a memorable holiday.

We had a fantastic time and was impressed with everything available to do around the site. We have been 3 times before. Our little boy of 17 months also loved everything minute especially the play house and sand pit. The views are amazing what ever the weather. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for an relaxing and enjoyable break away. The goats and sheep was certainly a bonus and enjoyable to watch. The owners was friendly and welcoming and always made time for you.

This was our third visit to Rudge Farm it is in a great location, peaceful and amazing views. The cottage we stayed in was well equipped and clean. The owners are friendly, and sorted out the couple of problems we had very quickly. The grandchildren loved the goats and the new play area and just to able to run around in a safe place is great for them.

What a stunning place for a holiday. I live nearby, but booked a cottage just for a break and some gentle R&R after a string of being poorly so didn’t leave the farm all week. (Although it’s in a great location for local beaches etc) It’s been perfect for a slow, solo holiday! I’ve spent many hours over the last week with a cup of tea, simply gazing at the view and watching the world go by. I had a lovely walk through the wild garlic and bluebells, and made friends with the local sparrows as well as saying hello to the sheep and goats. I even got to enjoy a sunny evening down by the lake watching the swallows skim the surface for a drink. It’s a nature lovers paradise! Having said that it’s been lovely for a quiet solo holiday, I’m already planning to come back with family. There’s plenty to do for kids from the play barn to sporting activities. Booking was clear as was arrivals/ departures info, and the little shop did me a solid with a couple of bits I needed during the week. Thank you, Watkins family! What an absolute gem!

We had a wonderful holiday at Rudge Farm this February half-term, our cottage was beautiful, well equipped, super comfortable, peaceful and warm. Both our children cried leaving, they just loved everything on offer there and wanted to stay. The play barn was a big hit when it was rainy outside, and having the sandpit so close to the cottage was fantastic. There's a fantastic new playground just built too (see photo) Jason and Danielle were helpful, friendly and very welcoming hosts. We highly recommend. Great location to explore nearby beaches also and walks. We would definitely return in a heartbeat!

We have just returned from our second visit to Rudge Farm and it was even better than last year.
We visited lots of local beaches etc whilst staying but enjoyed coming back to Rudge Farm for the afternoons/evenings. There is so much on site to keep all ages happy - pool table, table tennis, soft play, sand pit, table football, tennis court, football pitch, boating lake and not to mention the very friendly goats that you can feed.
The cottages are clean and comfortable. It’s so peaceful at night and the comfy beds mean that a good nights sleep is guaranteed. The bathroom in Orchard Cottage could do with updating but it’s functional and was fine for what we needed. It’s clear the owners are working hard to update all areas of the site so I’m sure this will be done. As hosts they were friendly and approachable and we were always made to feel very welcome.
We will definitely return to Rudge Farm and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area.
